Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak is a story about a young boy, Max, who is sent to his room for not listening to his mother, but then his imagination takes over and he finds himself in a place where monsters are. The monsters crown Max as their king, but when the monsters have to go to bed Max feels all alone and is ready to go back home to his mother. I'm not exactly sure what the moral to this story is. It seems Max doesn't learn anything about not listening to his mother.
